My Dearest Sunshine,

You have been in heaven for 12 days. If a day is as a thousand years, then you’ve only been there seconds, but it seems like an eternity to me. I hope you are exploring every nook and cranny of heaven, having adventures, singing beautiful music, and making memories to share with me when I see you again. Don’t forget…YOU are my sunshine.

A is for ANGEL, pure and white,
Sent down from heaven as bright, Holy light.

B is for BERRIES, red and round,
Reminder of Christmas when snow is on the ground.

C is for CANDY CANES, minty and sweet,
The story of Jesus told in a Christmas treat.

D is for DOVE, a symbol of peace,
Goodwill to mankind...may joy ever increase.

E is for EUPHORBIA PULCHERRIAM, scarlet and green,
Poinsettia...flower of the Holy Night...a beautiful Holiday scene.

F is for FOREST, blanketed with snow,
Frosty and glistening, provides shelter below.

G is for GINGERBREAD, spicy and warm,
Serve with hot chocolate on Christmas morn.

H is for HORN, rich lower brass,
Blows through the wind a merry tuba Christmas.

I is for ILLUMINATE, soft yellow light,
warm and inviting...a welcome sight.

J is for JINGLE BELLS, jingle and jangle,
Brings sounds of laughter...what a merry bangle!

K is for KRIS KRINGLE and myself,
Santa, Father Christmas, a jolly old elf.

L is for LIGHTS, as bright as the stars,
Guided the Wisemen on camels from afar.

M is for MISTLETOE, hanging up above,
A tempting invitation to kiss the one you love.

N is for NATIVITY, God's only Son,
Born in a manger...Little Holy One.

O is for ORNAMENT, hanging on a tree,
Treasured traditions, glistening for all to see.

P is for PINECONE, the evergreen's flower,
Sappy and woody...feeding squirrels by the hour.

Q is for QUILT, hand pieced with scraps,
Cozy and warm for a long winter's nap.

R is for REINDEER, training for flight,
Guilding Santa's sleigh on the most magical night.

S is for SANTA'S HELPER, high on a shelf,
Watch out children, you can't hide from this elf!

T is for TREE LOT, scented with pine,
Tree after tree...which will be mine?

U is for UNWRAP, a present for me!
Tear off the paper...what will it be?

V is for VETTURA, a carriage for hire,
Pulled by fine horses, every princess's desire.

W is for WINTER, chilly winds blow,
Weather for Christmas...LET IT SNOW!

X is for XYLOPHONE, a musical toy,
Struck with a hammer...a delight for any young boy.

Y is for YEARNING, to open a gift,
Hurry up Christmas, I'm feeling bereft!

Z is for ZYGO CACTUS, blooms in December,
Colors of Christmas...our Savior, remember!
